What Defines Me

There are many people, places, and objects that define who a person is.  I believe that my parents define who I am.  They are the ones who raise you to the adult you become.  My parents always showed me how to be the better person in bad situations.  My mom and dad both taught me different things.
I speak the language I speak because of how I grew up and where I grew up just like Anzadula in her essay.  My parents instilled the core values of life in me and the way I act in life today.  They taught me to be a caring person and have a heart for other things and people other than myself.  For most people, their parents are the ones who define them the most because that is whom you have always grown up around.  They have always been the ones to tell you right from wrong and they are the ones where you would get your decision making from.  My parents have always been on me about schoolwork and not procrastinating my work and that is why up to this point I do not do it.  They taught me how to multitask and be able to have good time management.
A place that defines me would be Fenwick Island, Delaware.  This is because we have a shore house there and it is what relaxes me.   It is also a family oriented place and it brings out happiness for all of us.  My parents are able to instill more life values there just as they are at home.  Especially when they tell us to be careful about different things because then we are also careful when we are older.  I am now a more cautious person and am always aware of my surroundings at my age because that is what my parents have always told me.

My parents have always told my younger brother and I that the way you act is how people will define you.  They instilled in us to be respectful to our peers and adults around us.  If it weren’t for my parents I wouldn’t be the person I am today.
